Data Collectors

The students came up with questions and 3-4 possible responses to ask their classmates and used tally marks to keep track of the data.

Here are just a few of the survey questions:

What do you like to do outside?
What do you like to do inside?
What are you wearing on your feet?
What do you like to do with your hair?
What is your favorite animal?
What is your favorite water activity?

Reading Partners

We started reading partners last week. They loved it! They will be learning some different ways to read with their partner
over the next few weeks.

Math Exploration

explore some math materials.

Base 10 Blocks
Pattern Blocks
Geo Boards
Counting

Mrs. Gallagher
(aka Mrs. G)

Mrs. G came in on Thursday for our first guidance lesson. She will be coming into our classroom every other Day 6. She read Alexander And The Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day.
They discussed what they could do to turn a bad day around. Be sure and ask your child for some ideas!

Ms. Hannnon

Ms. Hannon, our social worker came in on Friday to read,
You Are A Social Detective! A Guide to
Explaining Social Thinking To Kids.

Every one of us is a Social Detective. We are good Social Detectives when we use our eyes, ears, and brains to figure out what others are planning to do next or are presently doing and what they mean by their words and actions.

Ms. Hannon will be coming in every Friday for lessons in Social Thinking.

Mr. Charltray!

Mr. Charltray came in on Friday! The students were practicing their picture taking and editing skills. They had to find the letters of their name around the room for a future project. It was great watching hunting for the perfect letter.
